So Now, Out of Fulton County

While the indictment in George has now been handed up yesterday morning it was “leaked” by being posted on the Fulton County’s official web page — before being taken down.

The County said it was “unauthorized” (e.g. they were “hacked.”) If they were hacked this is actually much-more serious than mere corruption of the adversarial and Grand Jury process. If they were not, and I don’t believe for a second they were, then the prosecutors posted what they were presenting for votes to the Grand Jury before the vote was taken as if it was an accomplished fact.

Would it particularly surprise me if the “proposed” charges were conformed in advance and posted? Not really.

Why not?
